I was contracted at John Brown Media to write the game logic for a web-based educational game aimed at key stage two children learning numeracy skills and long division. The premiss of the game is that you are a space age trader trying to find the best deals on essential space commodities. Alien sellers offer different prices for different quantities of strange space paraphernalia and the player has to identify the best price. My involvement and responsibilities in this project were :
Space Trader on NatWest Money Sense
• Organising data into maintainable xml files
• Preparing images and spritesheets from design Photoshop Documents
• Working with designers and editors to refine gameplay mechanics and interactive elements.
• Documenting all the code and software processes for the inhouse team to take on any future updates
